June Favourites

June has went so fast for me! It was a crazy busy month, but it's amazing that I'm finally off for the summer. Just a little warning, some of the things in here were in my haul post.

Beauty favourites:
I've been using this as a primer and a sealer for my normal mascara, and I love it! No more black smudges under my eyes, which is wonderful.
I've had this on my toenails for about half of the month, and it makes me happy whenever I look at it! I made a complete review of it last year, you can find it here.
I've been using this primer a ton lately! I have a really pretty pastel palette that I love, but isn't that pigmented, and this makes the colours look so much better.
Even though this isn't that summery, I've been liking this nude lipstick lately. I find that it works really nicely for my ultra-pale skin tone.
5. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick on 006: Pink Blush
This is my ideal spring and summer lippy, pretty and bright but not too bright. I actually got this for my time as a sorority girl in Legally Blonde: the musical but have been wearing it every day.

If you would like a review of any of these that I didn't already make, please let me know! I would love to make one.
Other Favourites:
1. Davids Tea Chocolate Macaroon Tea
This tea is amazing! To me, it really tastes like a chocolate macaroon. I've been loving it as a tea latte lately.
2. Something Rotten! (Original Broadway Cast Recording)
Oh, I wish I could see this on Broadway! For now, though, I have to be content listening to the soundtrack and singing along.
3. The Girl is Murder by Kathryn Miller Haines
I know I never really feature books in this section, but I really loved this book! Unintentionally, I've been reading a lot of books that take place during World War II lately.

Have you tried any of these? What have you been loving this month?

A Little Haul

A little while ago, I asked if any of you wanted to see a haul post. Some of you said yes, so here it is! I did more shopping in the past few weeks then I normally do, so I thought I'd share some of the things I got with you.
A Little Haul
I did just get some of these things recently, so I don't have fully developed opinions on all of them. If you'd like to have a review on anything or see some swatches, just let me know! I'd be more then happy to oblige.
elf Studio Blush in Twinkle Pink, Studio Powder Brush
elf Studio Blush in Twinkle Pink
I know, I've mentioned this blush a million times on the blog. However, I'm almost out of my current one, so I grabbed another. This is my everyday go-to blush, it's a perfect light pink with a subtle shimmer.
elf Studio Powder Brush
I have very few brushes, so I grabbed this one when I saw it. I've been using it for blush even though it's for powder because it gives a really nice, light application. As Zoella says, "use brushes how you want to use brushes. Don't follow the rules, be a brush rebel".
Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Loose Powder Shadow in Breaking Bronze, Great Lash Clear Mascara
Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Loose Powder Shadow in Breaking Bronze
I saw this in the sale table at my local drugstore, so how could I resist? I haven't used it a lot so far, because it's SO pigmented and wonderful. I really like the colour, I don't have anything else like it in my collection.
Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara
I've heard how good this is as a primer and a sealer for mascara, so I had to try it! I use it as a primer everyday, and it works really nicely. I don't always put it on top to seal, though, because my normal mascara doesn't always try in time, though I think it works really nicely.
Absolute New York Eyeshadow Primer, Benefit Porefessional
I've been meaning to try an eyeshadow primer because I have some eyeshadows that I love, but are way to light. I've found that this works really nicely, as long as you make sure to blot it first!
I've finally tried a Benefit product! I decided to get a mini first because the full sized ones are fairly expensive. I was a little skeptical when it said non-greasy, but it stays true to that promise! Even though my pores aren't that bad, I love it and it feels really nice on my skin. If I don't have any problems with it when I'm done this little one, I'll probably end up getting the full size.
Davids Tea Chocolate Macaroon, B&BW Leaves Candle, Garage Crochet Pointelle Socks
Davids Tea Chocolate Macaroon
This may very well be my favourite tea ever. I got a hot tea a little a while ago to test it out, and ever since then, I was hooked. This tea, to me, tastes like a chocolate macaroon. And I'm in love.
Bath & Body Works Leaves Scented Candle
I picked this up when I saw it on the $3.50 table because I'm a total sucker for sales. There's no use denying it. I know it's more of a autumn/winter scented candle, but I definitely prefer those scents over spring/summer ones.
Garage Crochet Pointelle Socks
As soon as I saw these, I knew I had to get them. I LOVE lacy socks, they're just so cute! I'm not quite sure how to wear them, though, so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Have you tried any of these before? What do you think of them?

My 5 Tips for De-Stressing

To be completely honest, I'm probably not the best person to be taking stress advice from. I'm always stressed out, especially at this time of year. So mush needs to get done before the summer, it can all get a little crazy and feel like too much. Stress can eat away at you. It happens to the best of us.
I am learning ways to combat it, though! here are some of the things that work the best for me:

1. Take a break
Use this opportunity to do something you love to do. I usually like to go somewhere private and put my earbuds in and dance and sing along. But you can do whatever you want! You can draw, read a book, play with your pet, or make some yummy food.
2. Go outside
Just being in nature can be really relaxing. If you don't have the time to go to anywhere fancy, even a little walk will do you good. Simply getting out of the house can clear your mind.
3. Light a scented candle
Man, I love scented candles. They give off such a relaxing vibe, I always make sure to have a few of them on hand.
4. Do something creative
This can be anything! Something to take your mind off whatever you're doing can make all the difference. If it's creative, it can make you feel a lot better, too.
5. Give yourself some motivation
Remind yourself why you're here, what you're doing this for, and how much better you'll feel after you get this out of the way. Go back to your problem or work with motivation and determination!

How do you de-stress? I would love to know!

Homemade Coconut Ice Cream (Gluten + Dairy Free)

I love homemade ice cream. I absolutely live for it. My dad always makes fresh strawberry ice cream, and I can't get enough of it. Store bought ice cream is amazing, but eating fresh ice cream? Nothing can compare to that.
So I decided that it was time to make some for myself. And I thought that I'd use coconut milk, too, to make it dairy free. When I say that this is gluten and dairy free, it makes it sounds so mush healthier, doesn't it? I'm not sure that it is or not, but thats ok. Go ahead, indulge yourself with this rich, creamy ice cream. You won't regret it.
Before I start the recipe, know that you will need an ice cream maker. I'm sorry to those of you who don't have one, but there's no other way to make it that I know of.

You will need:
+ 3 cups of full fat coconut milk
+ 2 1/2 tbsp strong green tea
+ 1/2 tsp lemon juice
+ 2 tbsp honey

1. Mix everything together. I used a stand mixer, but go for whatever works best for you.
2. When everything is well mixed, put it in the fridge for two hours.
3. After this, all you have to do is put this mixture in your ice cream maker and follow the institutions (every one is a little different)
Thats it!

Have a lovely weekend!

{Review} Lush Butterball Bath Bomb

We all have those kind of nights. The rainy ones at the end of a long week that you can't wait to spend doing absolutely nothing. You're planning on a musical or another movie, maybe just some Netflix. But before that, you're going to take a wonderful, relaxing bath. You reach for the Bath Bomb that you've kept in the cupboard for a day just like today.
The one that I found was the Lush Butterball bath bomb. The first thing that I  noticed about this was the design. Simple, but that's ok with me. I wasn't quite sure what this one smelled like- it said vanilla and cacao butter on the site but I didn't really smell either of those.
The look of this bath bomb in the water didn't wow me. I was expecting maybe a white or a cream colour, but it didn't really give that. I just looked like I had really soapy water, or a bubble bath that left it like that. The smell didn't last very long, either, and it was really subtle.
The first thing my friend said upon seeing these photos was "you got a Lush bath bomb??" with a mixture of shock, confusion, and a little bit of disgust. That was followed by "it looks like dirty bath water" delivered with laughter and a little pity. I have to agree with her on this one, it most certainly does look like dirty bath water.
Overall, I didn't like this bath bomb. I pity, because I hate writing negative reviews and this is the only disappointing product I've tried from Lush. It didn't do much for my relaxing night, either.

Have you tried this bath bomb before? What do you think of it?

{Make an} Easy Headscarf

I LOVE this fabric. Cherry prints are some of my favourites! This was actually from a shirt from a thrift store. I loved the print, but I didn't like the style. Ever since I got it, I've had the vision of this headscarf. It was even easier to make then I thought it would be, and I love the way it turned out!
Anyways, lets continue to the DIY! It's quite straightforward, and would only take about an hour at the most to make while watching Netflix.
Easy DIY Headscarf
You will need:
+ Patterned fabric of your choice
+ Matching thread

1. Cut out the fabric so it wraps around your head with about 2.5 inches to spare. You can make the width whatever you want, I chose 3.5 inches.
2. Fold the fabric lengthwise so no raw edges are showing and pin.
3. Cut the edges of the fabric so that they are slanted.
4. Sew up the back of the fabric with the matching thread so that no raw edges show.
5. That's it! All you have to do is try it on and tie it up.
Easy DIY Headscarf
I hope you liked this little DIY! If you try it, I would love to know, and you can leave me a comment below or email me at littlemoondragon@outlook.com.
Have an amazing weekend everyone! Do you have any plans?

My Summer Nail Picks

Is it summer already? It seems like it was January just yesterday! How fast this part of the year has gone by.
Anyways, I'd like to share with you my four top nail picks for summer! I know that some of them look a little more appropriate for spring, but I adore pastels. I'm not a huge fan of bright colours, with a few exceptions. Anyways, let's get to the polishes!
I got this polish for my birthday a few years ago, and I absolutely love it! Its a super sheer light pink, and though you can build it up, I really like using it as a more nude polish.
Essie in Serial Shopper
I've been loving this fun coral shade lately! I've seen a bunch of people wearing shades like this, and I thought it was time to pull it out of my coral collection.
I mentioned this polish a little while ago in my December favourites post, but I've refound my love for it. Both the colour and the texture is just perfect.
Avon MegaWatt Nail Enamel in Electric
I got this bright purple some time ago, and I think that it's perfect for summer. It's one of the few bright colours that I actually like.

Have you tried any of these polishes before? What are your favourite colours for summer?

Mint Chocolate Donuts (GF)

It's Donut Day today! Are you planning to 'celebrate' it? Did you even know about it? There was no way that I couldn't make a few donuts, I mean it's a whole day to celebrate sweets.
I've always loved chocolate and mint together, they seem like such a perfect pair. Maybe it's the way that they remind us of the classic Girl Guide cookies, or maybe they were just meant to be together. Either way, I think that they make the flavours in these donuts perfect.
Mint Chocolate Donut Recipe (GF)
Ingredients:
Dry:
• 1cup all purpose flour ( I used gluten free. If you do, too, make sure that xanthem gum is it)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 cup cacao powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
Wet:
• 1/4 cup milk of your choice ( I used almond)
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
Extra
• 1/4 cup mint chips

1. Preheat your oven to 350
2. If your donut pans aren't nonstick, grease them with coconut oil
3. Whisk together all of your dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl
4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together your wet ingredients
5. Pour your wet mixture into your dry mixture and start mixing them together
6. Add in your mint chips and mix well
7. Once your batter is completely mixed, pour or spoon it into a piping bag
8. Use your piping bag to fill your donut pans up about half way. You can smooth them down by wetting your finger so it doesn't stick.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!

May Favourites

I've had a crazy May. I've been super busy, and it's gone really fast. It seems like just yesterday I was making my April favourites post! I had a pretty good May, but it was crazy busy. Anyways, let's get onto my favourites! Before we begin, I'd like to apologize for the bad colour  in my photos. That happens whenever I try to take a photo of a screen.
My beauty favourites are kind of boring because I didn't get the chance to go out and try anything new. They're good basics, though!

As some of you may know, my skin and I are in constant battle. This is a nice soothing lotion that doesn't irritate my skin.
2. Avon Nail Experts Ridge Filling Base Coat
I've used this base coat a few times this month, and it's a very pale pink colour. It's practically clear. This seems to work well as a base coat, and I haven't seen any staining while using it.
Like I mentioned above, I have very sensitive skin. This is nice in the fact that it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's also a really nice match for my skin tone.
4. Nivea Sun Lip Care
I've never really burned my lips before, but I thought that as I was going to be in the sun for a while I'd try it out. It does a good job of protecting my lips and moisturizes them decently.
It seems like whenever I make one of these posts, an Avon lip balm is featured. Lately, this has been all that's on my lips when I leave the house. It's moisturizing, smells amazing, and leaves a sheer pink look. What's not to love?
Another link is here.
Other favourites:

Toffee tea from The Tea Trader
My Aunt gave me this after I came up to visit, as I'm always saying how good the tea at her house is. This is no exception! I love anything that has to do with toffee. There is a similar tea here.
Newsies Original Broadway Cast Soundtrack
I've been obsessed with this soundtrack lately. The whole cast is AMAZING. I'm kind of sad that I got into Newsies to long after it was on Broadway!
Think Pink with Kara Lindsay
I just found these vlogs, and all I've done since is watch them. I've wasted many a weekend on them, even though there's only eight episodes!

What were some of your May favourites?
