{Make a} Fabric Covered Ring Dish

Hello Lovelies!
I've been seeing ring dishes everywhere, and I thought that it was time to make one of my own. The materials that I used are super-simple, and something that a five year old might use to make an impromptu craft. In a sense, that's what I am. Just a child deciding to make things out of a crazy idea. To be honest, I don't think that I'll ever outgrow that.
This might sound crazy, but one of my favourite ways to find cute printed fabric is the baby clothes at thrift stores. They're usually really cheap, and always have super cute patterns. They're also enough for a small project, I only used half of one leg for this. And they quite often have little extras, too, such as snaps, elastic, and trim. These pants even have a little Scottie dog appliqué on the front!
You Will Need:
♥ A plastic container, with just a little water in it
♥ Any glue you want, I used Elmer's School Glue
♥ A jar lid, whatever size you want
♥ Fabric of your choice
(mine was a stretchy, t-shirt like fabric)
Step 1:
Cut out a square of your fabric that is a little bigger then your jar lid. It should be able to wrap around it.
 Step 2:
Mix some glue in with the water. It should be about 2 parts water 1 part glue. Soak the square of your fabric in it.
 Step 3:
Take out your fabric, and squeeze a little of the water out. Wrap it around your jar lid and leave it to dry overnight. Fix any parts that you need to with some more glue.
This is a really easy project, the drying is just a little time consuming. I hope that you try it! If you do, please leave me a comment below or email me at perfectimperfectionsblog@outlook.com

Also, don't forget to vote in my contest! The winner will be announced on Sunday.

Spring Wishlist

Hello Lovelies!
I know that spring started a while ago, but I'm still really excited about it. Something about spring just feels so refreshing, and a wonderful time to begin again and start over. So I thought I'd share with you guys a few things that I've been keeping my eye on lately!
1. Purrrfectly Adorable Day Dress- Siamese Cats  from Le Bomb Shop
This is sold out in small, which makes me sad. It's the perfect dress for me, as it combines two of my favourite things: mint and cats.
2. Doily Necklace from Sugar and Vice
How cute is this necklace? I love the lacy heart details, and the feeling it gives of a spring tea party.
3. Avery, Spring Daydream Print from Kelli Murray Art
This is such a beautiful print, I love the colourful flowers. It would be a great way to start that print collection that I've been wanting!
I've been looking for a nice peach blush for spring, and I've also been wanting to try some Too Faced products. Plus, who could resist that packaging?
5. In The Park Floral Skirt from Ruche
I know that this pick is a little dark for spring, but I'm in love with it. It reminds me of an English garden for some reason, even though I've never seen one.
6. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Necklace from I Love Crafty
This necklace reminds me of the new Cinderella movie, which I've been dying to see. Do you guys think it's any good?

I hope that you liked some of these! Which one is your favourite?
Also, don't forget to vote in my contest!

Easy Beauty Fixes

I'm no beauty expert. In fact, I'm pretty much a beginner. Saying that, though, I thought that I'd share with you a few things that I've learned along the way. Just to put it out there, these may not work as well for you as they do for me.
1. A clean mascara wand dipped in coconut oil
This has endless uses, some of my favourites being for eyelashes, brows, and frizzies. I've definitely seen a positive change in my lashes after using this before bed for a few weeks.
2. Bobby pins sprayed with hairspray
Doing this before using in your hair will make a much neater and easier 'do.
3. Exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush before bed and applying a balm
This is one of the easiest ways for me to tackle the struggle of waking up with soft lips.
4. Lemon water
I always have a glass of this after I wake up, and it clears my skin and leaves me looking refreshed.
5. Find the right skincare product for you
Ok, so this isn't that easy and I have yet to accomplish it. But it can make a huge difference. I think that skincare should be the biggest priority in your beauty routine and that a good base is super important.

Also, I'd like to remind you guys to please vote in my contest!
There have been some votes that seem to be fake, which makes me sad. I've deleted the ones that I've suspected of being false, and I'm sorry if I've deleted any honest ones in the process.

What are some of your favourite easy beauty fixes?

{Review} NYX Glam Shadow in Pixie Dust

Hello Lovelies!
After seeing my previous post, Naomi said that she'd like to see a review on the NYX Glam Shadow in Pixie Dust. I was more then willing to make a review on it, it's one of my favourite eye shadows!
NYX Glam Shadow in Pixie Dust Review
I've been using this eyeshadow a lot lately. It's a really nice shimmery nude for my skin tone, and it can also work well as a base to build off of Lately, I've been using a lot of light pastel shadows with it.

Anyways, let's get to the review!
This is what the website says about the product:
1. Long lasting shades
 2.  Extreme color
 3. Lustrous finish
4. Added dose of sparkle

Here's how I think they compare:
1. I do think that this is a fairly long lasting shadow, it stays quite nicely throughout the day.
2. I wouldn't say that this is extreme colour, even though it's nude the pigmentation isn't spectacular. It's not bad, but not stunning either.
3. The finish is quite nice, at least I think that it is.
4. There definitely is sparkle! This shadow is not for those who stray away from a little glitter as it is pretty noticeable. That being said, I do think that this shade makes it suitable for everyday wear.
NYX Glam Shadow in Pixie Dust Swatch
I thought that I'd add an arrow to show where the swatch is as it is really light.
As you can see in the swatch, this shade is fairly light and matches my skin tone almost perfectly.

Overall, I really like this shadow! I'd give it an 8/10, I think that the quality is really nice for the price. You can find it here.
Also, I wanted to remind you guys of my contest! The entries will be up for voting this Sunday.

My Favourite Teas For Spring

Hello Lovelies!
Since spring weather is finally here where I live, I thought that I'd share with you some of my favourite teas for this season. Right now, I'm focused on teas that bring a sense of refreshment and rejuvenation. Maybe I'm being melodramatic because after all, these are just teas. But hopefully a few of you out there will understand how teas can influence your mood!

Right now this is my go-to evening tea. It's relaxing and I think that it's helping my sore throat. Also, it's herbal, which is perfect for before bed. The only problem is that it's not sweet at all, so I like to add a little honey.
2. Tetley Peppermint Tea
This is my favourite afternoon tea at the moment. It's perfect for unwinding after a busy day and is really refreshing. For some reason or another I haven't had peppermint tea in a really long time, and I'm so happy that I found this in my cupboard.
I abosolutely love lemon! This tea is super refreshing and is my favourite way to start the day. I actually got mine at a farmer's market last year, so I couldn't find a direct link to this tea. I tried to find a similar one, though.

What are your favourite teas for spring?

Also, if you're entering my contest, please send me your entries as soon as possible! If anyone needs an extension, please let me know ♥

Yellow Sunshine

Hello Lovelies!
Spring is finally here! For me, that means lots and lots of sunny and cheerful colours. Here are some of my favourite yellow and gold products this spring!
Yellow Sunshine
In my opinion, there's nothing more fun and eye catching than gold glitter. To give it a more spring-like update, you can wear it over a light pastel polish.
My friend gave this to me after her trip to the U.S. because you can't get this scent where we live. The smell gives me an instant mood lift and moisturizes my lips wonderfully.
This is more gold then yellow, but I love it nonetheless. It's a perfect nude shadow that adds a little shimmer to your eyes.
I've mentioned this lotion a million times, but it's one of my all time favourties. It's a nice, spring switch from heavy lotions and it smells divine.
The Body Shop Honeymania Body Scrub
This scrub can get rid of your dry winter skin in a minute, and has a relaxing floral scent. It also keeps you skin soft and moisturized.

If you would like a full review of any of these, you just have to let me know!
What are your favourite yellow or gold products for spring?

Also, if you're interested in entering my contest, please consider starting to send me your entries as I would love to see them ♥

Spring Baking + Contest

Hello lovelies!
There's something about Easter baking that's so cheerful. Maybe it's the bright colours, maybe it's the anticipation of sharing it with friends and family. Whatever it is, channel a bit of that cheerfulness with these yummy little nests.
You can use your favourite macaroon or cookie recipe for these little nests. I used the macaroon recipe from The Cookie Writer. They are the best macaroons I've ever tasted/made, so go check it out the recipe!

All it takes it a few little changes for a spring upgrade:

♥ Before you bake your macaroons, flatten them out a little and put a thumb print in the center
♥ After they've cooled, add a few jelly beans or chocolate eggs in the middle
♥ If you would like them to travel or stay better, you can  use a dab of icing to keep the eggs in place.

~~~
Also, I would like to make an announcement for a contest. It's not very exciting, but I think it might be cool to have a little art contest. I was thinking that you could enter a relatively simple drawing/painting piece, and one or two winners would have their pieces made into a plushie by me. Entries would be due by next Friday, April 10th. It's not a very exciting prize, but if any of you are interested please let me know and I can work out all of the details!
Have a lovely Easter Weekend ♥
