Winter Foot Love

Winter Foot Love
Hello Lovelies!
It's no secret that we are prone to neglect our feet during winter. I mean, we're just going to stuff them in a pair of socks and boots anyways, right? No one's going to see them. Use this weekend to give your feet a little well-deserved love!
Step 1: Prep
Using these 4 simple tools in and after the shower will leave your feet a lot cleaner then before.
1: The Pumice Stone. Using this on the rough parts of your feet will leave them so much softer! I use this everytime I take a shower now.
2: The Nail Clipper. After your shower, trim down your toenails. Nobody wants long toenails, they put holes in your socks.
3: The Nail File. After clipping your nails, file them so there are no snags or rough edges to get caught on anything.
4: The Nail Brush. Using this in the shower with a little soap will leave your nails sparkling. Plus, he's so cute!
Step 2: Moisturize
Soften your feet up with your favourite lotion. Here are some of mine:
1: Glaxal Base Moisturizing Cream. This stuff gets rid of dry patches almost instantly. Seriously, it's amazing.
2: Cocoa Butter Body Butter. I have tons of the Body Shop's Body Butters, and they all work great and smell amazing. This is just one of my many favourites.
3: Lemon Pomegranate Cream Body Lotion. This is lighter then the other two, but still works well. And it smells so good!
Step 3: Cute Socks
Cure socks are always a must. They're so cozy, how could you resist?
1: Over The Knee Socks. These socks are so cozy and cute I want to wear them all the time!
2: Pineapple Socks. How can you not like pineapple socks? They're adorable.
3. Fuzzy Socks. These are the best. So warm and cozy, wear them under boots and no one will have to know.

How do you like to take care of your feet in winter?

{Review} Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lightshow

Hello Lovelies!
After seeing it in this post, some of you asked me for a review of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in shade 670: Lightshow. I was more then happy to oblige! Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that this polish was pretty but not good at all. I hope that this will explain why my nails look so messy in the photo!

Drying time:
60+ minutes. That's right. This takes more than an HOUR to dry. I put it in an ice bath, blew on them, everything. This drying time was horrible.
Good so far, other then all of the smudges this got from it's insanely long drying time.
One really thin one. This stuff was so gloopy.
Really spread out and hard to get any on the brush. However, they look really nice in light and give off a little rainbow.
I'm only keeping this because it's so pretty. I'll just use it when I have over an hour to spare.

If you do want to take a risk and try it, you kind find some here.

Have you tried this polish? What do you think of it?

Pretty in Pink

Hello Lovelies!
Valentines Day may have come and gone, but for me, the season of pink lasts all of the way through February. I thought I'd make a post of some of my favourite pink makeup products, as this month is a perfect time to add a little pink to your daily routine. However, some of the products that I featured are either old or gifts, so if the link is something similar I will put a couple stars beside it.

I mentioned this lotion before, but it's one of my favourites. Not only is is moisturizing, but it smells amazing! I don't know how to describe the scent, but if pink chiffon had a smell this would certainly be it.
This is definitely one of my favourite ways to add a little pink to my everyday routine. I find that the pink colour in cream eyeshadow can be really nice, too.
The polish itself was ok, but I just like the fun confetti look it gives. Pink confetti, at that!
I love the spicy feel that this gives your lips! I also find that the kind I use lasts quite long and gives my lips a nice colour.
Of course I had to add an eos to this list, I love the scent and the moisture that it gives. Can you describe scents as cute? Because this certainly smells like it.
I adore the colour of this polish! It's such a cute and pretty pink.
Pink Polka Dot Makeup Bag
Honestly, who doesn't like a cute makeup bag? The one that I use is a little small, but it's so cute I can forgive the size.

If you would like a full review of any of these products, just let me know!
What are your favourite pink makeup products?

{Wear} Winter Layers

Modcloth Winer Layers
Hello Lovelies!
It may seem like winter is almost over, but I'm sorry to tell you that in many northern countries there may still be a few more months of it. Having lived in a colder part of Canada my whole life, I know first hand how important it is to layer in the winter. I teamed up with Modcloth to give you some tips on how to be dressed for the weather and stay stylish at the same time. Enjoy!
1: Tops
Tops are a great opportunity for layering. One of my favourite ways is to layer a collared shirt and a matching sweater, like I showed in the picture above. Sweaters are my absolute favourite pieces, and are a total must have for winter! Check out some more adorable sweaters here.
2: Bottoms
Unfortunately, your favourite dresses and skirts probably won't see much action in the winter. Even warm tights are a little thin for the cold sometimes! Jeans are a great bet for colder days as the material is usually quite thick.
3: Shoes
Sorry, but those adorable little booties I pictured probably wouldn't last 10 minutes outside. Your best bet would probably be something much warmer and more durable. My go-to winter shoes are some water-proof combat boots.
4: Outerwear
Obviously, you'll still need a coat. One of my best investments is a plain black coat that goes with almost anything. You can't really go wrong with something that simple!
5: Accessories
Cold-weather accessories like hats, mitts, scarves, and gloves are all needed depended on how cold the day is. There are tons of cute options out there, so don't be afraid to look around!

Check out modcloth here, and their adorable selection of cardigans here.

This could totally change depending on the weather and how long you'll actually be outside, though. What are your favourite ways to keep warm in the winter? ♥

And, before I forget, I finally got Polyvore. If you would like, you can find me here.

5 Ways To Upgrade Your Favourite Dessert for Valentines Day

5 Ways to Uprgrade Your Favourite Dessert for Valentines Day
 Hello Lovelies!
Who doesn't like Valentines themed desserts? It's a perfect excuse for delicious and adorable snacks, as well as sharing delicious treats with your loved ones! Here are some super simple ways to upgrade your all time favourites for Valentines Day.
1: Trade chocolate for vanilla
Believe me, I have nothing against chocolate on Valentines Day. However, a vanilla dessert can appear more dainty. You can make this super-simple switch by removing cocoa powder or whatever other chocolate flavouring that is used and adding some vanilla extract. A teaspoon will work well for most normal-sized recipes.
2: Add Raspberries
I love raspberries. They are delicious, quite good for your, and so cute! They give any dessert a cute upgrade and can also be used to replace chocolate chips. 1/4 cup will work well for most recipes.
3: Shape them like a heart
There are tons of options out there for heart-shaped desserts, such as heart shaped cookie cutters and doughnut pans. Don't be afraid to give them a try!
4. Add Pink
Pink food colouring, pink sprinkles, little pink candies, and pink frosting make any dessert perfect for Valentines day. Not to mention making them cuter!
5. Cute Plating
Nothing upgrades a dessert quite like cute plating. Some of my favourites are simple saucers from cute teacups, but anything pink or red are quite appropriate.

I hope that this helped you! Are you making any desserts for Valentines Day?

{DIY} An Adorable Pouch For Your Valentine

{DIY} An Adorable Pouch for your Valentine

Hello Lovelies!
Who else is getting excited for Valentines Day? One of the ways that I'm getting ready for it is by making some little themed goodies, including this pouch. It kind of reminds me of a pouch of fairy dust. What do you think?

You will need:
♥ Cardboard
♥ Pink or purple felt
♥ Fabric of your choice
♥ Ribbon to match your felt

1. Cut a circle out of cardboard. You can make it whatever size you want as this will be your base. I made mine with a diameter of 7 cm.

2. Cut out a square of fabric to wrap around you base. Ideally, this should be at least 10 cm on each side, but don't stress if it isn't.

3. Using a large needle such as a tapestry needle, sew your ribbon all along the edges of your square.

4. Sew a heart out of the felt onto your ribbon if desired.

5. Put the base in the middle of your square and pull the ribbon tight.

That's it!

Enjoy these pouches and share them with your loved ones!
If you do make these pouches, I would love to see them! You can let me know by leaving a comment below or emailing me at

Have a great day!

:: DIY Heart Printed Tights ::

Hello Lovelies!
I've seen so many tights like these around that I thought it was time to make some of my own. Also, they're quite appropriate for the upcoming Valentines Day!
Also, sorry for the bad photo. The light in my room made it seem really bright for some reason.
You will need:
Any tights
Red fabric paint
A little brush

**You can find tights like these almost anywhere**

1. Try on your tights and mark roughly where your knees are.
2.Take off your tights and put cardboard in the legs to stretch them out and so that the paint doesn't bleed through.
3. Paint a heart where you marked the knees. Don't worry about them being perfect, they're cuter when they're not.
4. Don your tights in style! (after they dry, of course)

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial! If you  try this, please leave a link in the comments below or shoot me an email at

January Beauty Favourites
Beauty Favourites:
A lot of these are still left over from Christmas. Can you blame me? Seasonal products are the best ♥
This has become an essential part of my shower routine and I use it almost every day. It has a relaxing scent, which is perfect as I usually take a shower before I go to bed! It also cleanses nicely.
First off, this lip balm smells AMAZING. It is also quite moisturizing and has a nice dark pink tint. I think that it's a nice alternative to a Babylips.
EOS is one of my favourite brands, and this lip balm is no exception. I love the mint scent, and it leaves my lips soft and moisturized. I use it 24/7!
I find this a really nice liquid eyeliner and it is an essential part of my everyday beauty routine. This was my first liquid liner, and I still love it!
You may remember me mentioning this before, and I will say again that I really like both the colours and the packaging of this eyeshadow. If you would like to know more about it, I talked about it here.
6. Avon Pepermint Vanilla Bubble Bath
This stuff smells very nice, and leaves my bathtub full of bubbles. I'm kind of obsessed with Vanilla Mint, can you tell?
If you would like more on any of these, just let me know ♥
January Other Favourites
My other favourites are:
I've become obsessed with this tea lately! It is definitely one of my all time favourites. If you want to know more about it, I included it in a post here.
2. Bluenotes Lights Kids Help Phone Tee
This was a no-brainer buy for me as I love Lights. Also, all proceeds go to Kid's Help Phone. I've been practically living in this shirt lately!
I LOVE this scent. My friend gave this to me for Christmas, and I've been using it ever since! Together with the bubble bath I mentioned above, I've been taking some really nice smelling baths.

On other notes, I'm really excited for all of the posts that I have planned for February. I hope that you like them as much as I do!

Have a great month everybody ♥
