:: Frosted Raspberry ::

Frosted Raspberry Outfit
Hello lovelies!

I thought that I'd try a little outfit post again. This isn't anything fancy, just something nice for a chilly day. I also thought that I'd get a little more creative with the name, as all of my previous ones were simply called "OOTD". I took a lot more photos than usual, too! I couldn't pick which one I liked the best.

I picked this sweater up (on sale!) at American Eagle and fell in love with it. It's just so cozy and warm! I couldn't find a link to it, but I tried to find some similar ones.
High Black Boots
I also got these boots recently. I don't have very many high boots, but I really like these ones. They're super comfortable, and are simple enough that they match any outfit. They're also nice and warm, which is perfect for Canadian winters.
Snowy Amber Ring
I got the ring a year or so ago at a store that was going out of business, which is why I can't find a direct link to it. I really like Amber jewelry, though. It's so pretty! I also like how dainty it is, it goes with almost anything.

Have a great Friday, and and even better weekend ♥

:: How I Keep My Blogging Life Organized ::

Hello lovelies!
It's no secret that both blogging and going to school/ work can take a lot out of you. I've started trying to be more organized with my blog as of late, and I would love to share how I'm doing it. But before we begin, I want to say that whatever works for me might not work for you. Go with whatever feels right for you!

What I Use:
A notebook:
I find it really helpful to devote a page in my notebook for every month. At the top of the page I write in my goals for the month, and I use the rest of the page to jot down ideas. I find it really helpful to write down any ideas that I have, you never know when they may be useful!
A planner:
I use my planner all the time and find it really helps me get organized. In most planners there will be a calendar at the beginning of the month, and I like to jot down a loose post schedule in it.
A second notebook:
I use this notebook to sketch out any ideas for DIYs I have. I find this to really help my creative process.
Sparkly Gel Pens:
Writing with these make everything so much more fun! I love using the bright colours to cheer up a boring page.

The Posts Themselves:
I find it really helpful to start working on your posts a few days before you plan on publishing them, and schedule it for the day you want it published. I love waking up in the morning with a new post already up!

The Attitude:
Remember, you don't have to post everyday. If you do, that's great! But I find it really hard to make my best content if I post everyday.

What do you do to keep your blogging life organized?

:: January Recent Buys ::

January Buys
Hello Lovelies!
I thought I'd give monthly buys posts like these a try. What do you think?
I'm not going to show any clothes in this post because I've totally been taking advantage of the January sales. I've got a lot of clothes for the new year, including lots of sweaters. Spring may be coming soon, but Canadian winters last into April! Anyways, let's move onto the products.

Herbal Essences Honey I'm Srong Shampoo and Conditioner
Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong ShampooConditioner
I had tried this shampoo before, and when I ran out I thought that I'd replace it and try the conditioner, too. I really like them both! My hair is feeling a little stronger, and I don't know if it's just from this but it probably helped. They also clean my hair really nicely.

The Body Shop Dolly Pastels Eyeshadow and Polar Bear Bath Sponge
Dolly Pastels Palette:
I picked this up from The Body Shop's holiday sales and I was not disappointed. The packaging is so cute, and the mirror in it actually works really well! I also really like the angled side of the brush. I would call the shades cream, lavender, chocolate, and a rose-brown. I actually haven't worn the lavender shade yet, but I love the rest and they are perfect for everyday wear. I'll include a swatch below!
Polar Bear Bath Sponge:
I just had to get this little guy, he's so cute! He also works really well and lathers quite nicely. The only problem is that it takes at least a week for him to dry on his own, which a find really long. But I was hanging him in my shower and maybe he was getting a little wet from that?

I couldn't find these on The Body Shop's website anymore, but you may be able to find them in store.

Essie Cocktails & Coconuts Nail Polish
At first when I put this on, I didn't really like the colour. But it definitely grew on me! I think that this is a really nice nude polish. It also has a little bit of shimmer if you look closely. Essie is one of my favourite polish brands and this did not disappoint!

I've heard really good reviews of this both from my friends and other blogs, so I decided to try it. It worked ok on me but seemed to be a little rough on my super-sensitive skin. I may retry this one later, though!
Mint Geometric Necklace:
I saw this on a $2.00 rack when I was passing by Claire's and knew that I had to pick it up! I've been looking for a necklace like this, and I love the colour and geometric shape. I couldn't find a link for it, sorry!

The Body Shop Dolly Pastels Palette Swatches
Here are the swatches for the Dolly Pastels Palette. I'm sorry that you can't really see the colours that well! However, this is pretty much how they would look on your eyes. In order, the colours are the rose-brown, the lavender, the chocolate, and the cream. The chocolate brown is a kind of matte eyeshadow and goes on really smooth. The others are more shimmery and light, but that makes them work well for everyday wear. You can also build them up a little more if you would like.

Did you like this kind of post? Please let me know if you would or wouldn't like more of them!
Have a great Friday, and a relaxing weekend ♥

:: My Favourite Winter Teas + A Recipe ::

Hello lovelies!
It's no secret that I love tea and drink it year round. However, I do think that there's something about it that makes it perfect for winter. You can still find me drinking holiday tea, and you probably will for the next month or two! With that confession out of the way, let's move on to the teas themselves.

1. David's Tea Sleigh Ride:
This tea smells amazing to start with! It's made up of a medley of delicious ingredients and smells like the holidays. The only downside of this is that it's made of quite big chunks so it runs out quite fast.
This tea is festive and fruity and just tastes like something a fairy would drink! On weekend mornings I usually make this into a sugarplum latte which is absolutely delicious. The recipe and instructions are below!
This tea is perfect for the winter cold season. The mix of ingredients keeps a cold at bay and is quite relaxing. I've actually forgotten about this tea a little and rediscovered it while making this post. Needless to say it's going to be seeing a lot more use as I seem to be fighting off a cold!
This tea tastes like liquid gingerbread! It tastes cozy and is perfect for curling up with warm blankets and a book.

Sugar Plum Latte Recipe:
On my previous post I mentioned a sugar plum latte and some of you seemed interested in it. This can me made with any tea, but from my experience it works best with the Celestial Sugar Plum Spice Tea.
You Will Need:
♥ About a cup of your desired milk
♥ One Tea Bag
♥ Boiling Water
♥ About a Teaspoon of sugar
1. Pour a little less than a quarter cup of boiling water over the tea bag and let steep for 10 minutes.
2. Warm up the milk however you would like. I usually foam it, but I'm sure that warming it up on the stove would work just fine. Now pour it in your favourite mug!
3. After your milk is warmed up and your tea is steeped, pour your tea into the milk. Add sugar to taste, and enjoy your latte!

What is your favourite winter tea?

:: The Body Shop Coconut Festive Picks Review ::

The Body Shop Coconut Festive Picks
Hello lovelies!
I'm back with another review for you. I hope that you like these type of posts.
If you know me, you may know that I am obsessed with the Body Shop's products. I also quite  like coconut scents, so I was really excited when I got this for Christmas. As you can probably tell, this review is a little late, but better late then never, right?

This set includes a 250 ml Coconut Shower Cream, a 50 ml Coconut Body Butter, a 50 ml Coconut Body Scrub, a Coconut Soap, and a cream mini bath lily.
The Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream, Coconut Soap, and Mini Bath Lilt
Coconut shower cream: this, like all of the set, smells amazing. I find that it lathers really well and does a good job of cleaning.
Mini Bath Lily: This is adorable! It also works very well as it makes everything lather quite nicely.
Coconut Soap: I think that is a really nice soap! I don't really know how to review soaps, but I do quite like it.
The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter and Coconut Body Scrub

Coconut Body Butter: I love all of the Body Shop's body butters, and this is not exception! It's really moisturizing and leaves my skin smelling good long after it has absorbed.
Coconut Body Scrub: I also really like all of the body scrubs I have tried. This is a nice and gentle exfoliator and is also pretty moisturizing.

:: My Dream Living Room ::

Hello lovelies!

I am by no means an expert on decor, as my room is made from a jumble of all sorts of things. But I decided to make a little collage of a living room. I thought that it would be fun to give it a try, and make a little wishlist.

I used items from Modani.com. I have no idea where to look for furniture, and it has a really nice selection of both fun and professional pieces, and a great selection of sofas. These are some of my favorites!

My style is usually focused around more vintage like pieces, but I like this style, too. Especially the pops of bright colour!

What is your type of decorating style?

:: Winter Wonderland Challenge Task 5 ::

Snowy Boots
Rubbing hands, stomping feet
The first month of the year is welcomed in by
Voices leaving frosty trails in the air
Determination and promises are all around
Sure to be broken in a month or so
But for now we can try
People fondly think
Of the mitts and hats laying in forgotten places
As snow slowly starts to fall
For the time being pockets and hoods are substituted
As people rush on their ways
The cold will be forgotten soon
When boots leave snowy trails on freshly cleaned floors

Hello Lovelies!
This is my entry for the fifth Winter Wonderland Challenge.

Have a great end of your week and an even better weekend!

:: Dove Nutritive Oil Leave in Smoothing Cream Review::

Hey everyone!
A few days ago, Laura asked me for a review on this after seeing it in my monthly favourites post. I was more then happy to oblige!
Lately, I've been trying to take better care of my hair. When I was looking through my cupboards and found this, I decided to give it a try.
Use
I don't necessarily use this as a "smoothing cream". I like to use this before I go to bed. I usually take a shower in the evening, so my hair is usually slightly damp. Anyways, after I brush out my almost-dry hair, I will rub a dot a little smaller then a nickel of this between my hands. I then run my fingers through my hair. After, I put my hair back into a braid or a bun.

Does it match it guarantees? It claims too:
♥ Control frizz and boost shine even in humid conditions
♥ Deeply nourish without feeling greasy so that hair is easy to manage and style.

♥ As I said before, I don't really use it as a smoothing cream but my hair is not really frizzy when I wake up even though I'm using a humidifier in my room right now. My hair also seems to be more shiny when I wake up.
♥ My hair definitely doesn't feel greasy when I wake up, and it does seem slightly more manageable in the mornings.

Overall, I quite like this cream. When using this cream, with other treatments, my hair seems much more healthy and shiny. It has also started to grow faster, but I'm not sure if that's from the cream. It probably helped, though. It also smells amazing! I don't really find any negatives with the product, so I would definitely recommend it if this is the kind of thing you are looking for.

Sorry for the lack of DIY posts, I'm completely out of ideas.
Would you like more posts like this?

:: Winter Wonderland Challenge Task 4 ::

Happy New Years everybody!
For the Fourth Winter Wonderland Challenge, we're supposed to take some New Years themed photos and say a bit about our resolutions. Sorry for the photo quality, I had to delete some photos because the quality was even worse.
I wrote about my resolutions and getting organized for the New Year in this post if you would like to see them.
For me, the New Years Eve and the first few days of January are still cozy and festive times. I end my break on the fifth, so I'm trying to relax and get organized before I'm busy again! However, I still love a bit of glitter and fun on New Years Eve. Is there any better way to start the year?
This was how I did my nails for New Years Eve. I told you that I love glitter! I think that New Years Eve is the perfect time to get your glitter fix. I paired this mani with the red leopard print scarf in the photo, a black t-shirt with gathered sleeved, a bright red skirt and black tights.
What was your New Years Eve outfit?
Have a wonderful 2015 everyone! Make it the best year yet.
