:: December Favourites ::

Once again, I want to apologize for the photo quality of a favourites post. I don't know whats with my camera and this kind of posts, but it never wants to take a good photo.
Here are my beauty favorites for December:
You may have seen this in a recent buys post last month. I'm happy to say that I love it! It's a very subtle shimmery pink that is perfect for everyday wear.
2. The Body Shop Cranberry Body Butter
I found this in the back of a cupboard, and I don't think that they make the exact same kind anymore. However, I really like the scent, and I love the big container. I always use it after I take a shower or bath and it keeps my skin real soft and moisturized.
I actually "stole" this from my mom's cupboard. I've been trying to make my hair healthier and I thought that this might help. After a shower, when my hair is almost dry, I like to put a very light coat of this in and then tie it into a bun or a braid. I find that this has made my hair start to shine more after I take it out of the bun or braid.
I thought that I'd give one of these textured polishes a try, and I purchased a subtle light pink color. I was not disappointed! In some lights it appears to be a kind of rose pink, and in others almost silvery. I also love the texture.
This is another one I found in the back of a cupboard. It smells amazing! It also keeps my lips nice and moisturized.

If you want a swatch for any of these, just let me know!
Here are my other favourites for December:
1. Smartwool Gloves
Sorry I don't have a link for these! My Aunt got me these for Christmas, and I've been wearing them ever since. They keep my hands really warm and cozy, and are still cute at the same time.
Before I bought a tin of this, I tried just a cup of it a couple times. I absolutely love it! It is really unique and festive.
I love this tea! It smells and tastes like gingerbread. It is perfect for winter and for the holiday season.

Because this is the last month of the year, I thought that I'd link to my favourite posts from each month. Here they are!

:: Getting Organsized for 2015 ::

Before I start this post, I just want to say that I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was filled with holiday teas, Idina Menzel + Charlie Brown Christmas albums, and warm blankets.

Getting organized for a new year can be hard. I prefer monthly and weekly goals, they're so much easier to achieve. That being said, I still wanted to try to get organized for 2015. Here's how I'm getting ready:
1. A new calendar
Everything feels so new and fresh when you have a new calendar! This year, instead of going out and buying one, I printed out this gorgeous one. However, if you want space to write, I would suggest buying one. I have a calendar in my planner that I like to use.
2. Using my planner
I got my Ban.Do planner a few months ago for my birthday, and I absolutely love it! I'm not saying that you should go out and buy an expensive calender, but I find it really helpful to have a space to write down everything that you need to do or what is happening on a certain day. You can also print out this adorable planner from the Halfway Point.
3.  Apps
Right now I'm using an app called TaskCat, and I find it really helpful. You can put everything that you need to do today on the front page, and it will have the little notification symbol on the app. I like this because it reminds me that I still have stuff to do! It also has other pages that I use for lists and such. I would suggest using some kind of organizational app because it is right on your phone, and you always have it with you!
4. Resolutions
I'm personally not a huge fan of New Years resolutions because I feel like you loose track of them really easily. However, I did make a few. Here they are:
♥ Exercise at least twice a week
♥ Keep doing the things that I love
♥ Make everyday the best that it can be
♥ Give myself time to relax + unwind
♥ Take better care of my hair + skin
I think that its best not to make to many. I made five, because I thought that it was a good number. If you want a printable, I made this one.

Here is the stuff from my photo: plannerDIY calenderresolution sheetpenguin sticky notesfox notepadstylus pen (similar)cat eraser.
I hope that this was helpful! I usually don't talk so much in my posts.

:: Christmas Pudding Brooch + Winter Wonderland Challenge Task 3 ::

For this task, Yasmine gave us a few options. One of them was a Christmas DIY, and I was planning this anyways! It worked out perfectly.
This is a really quick and easy to make, so you still have time to make this before Christmas. Its also a good last minute present.

You will need:
♥ Green felt
♥ White Thread
♥ Red bead or felt
♥ Dark Brown Felt
♥ White Felt (mine was sparkly)

1. Cut out the pieces according to the pattern.
2. Sew the topping on to the base
3. Sew the bead onto the top of the topping
4. Sew the leaf behind the bead
5. Attach the brooch finding to the back of the pudding (I used hot glue).

I've never had a Christmas pudding. Have you? Do you like them?
Only two more days until Christmas! Are you excited?

:: Homeade Christmas Tea ::

Homemade Christmas Tea
Hello everyone!
When was the last time I made a tea post? A long time ago, right? When I picked up this cute little Christmas tea cup a few days ago, it inspired me to make a Christmas tea. If you try it, please let me know what you thought of it!

You will need:
♥ About 5 hazelnuts
♥ A pinch of cinnamon
♥ 1 chamomile tea bag
♥ A teaspoon of honey
♥ Sprinkles, if you would like
♥ Some shredded ginger, the more the stronger

1. Throw it all in a small teapot! You may want to put some of the smaller parts in a infuser, but you don't have to.
2. Take out the tea bag after 4 minutes
4. Let the rest steep for about  5 more minutes, or however long you would like
5. Pour some into your favorite Christmas cup and enjoy!

Christmas is in less then a week! Have fun and enjoy your holidays.

:: Winter Wonderland Challange Task 2 ::

Sweater: American Eagle//Skirt: Stitches Similar//Leggings: Old Navy//Old Socks
Hello Everyone!
The Second Winter Wonderland Challenge was your favorite wintertime OOTD. So lets get started!
I actually wore this outfit today, not just for the photo. I love the sweater and socks because they are so cozy! Its freezing where I live, so cozy outfits are a must. (You can see my hands curled up in the sweater because it is so cold!) I also really like this skirt with a sweater because it is long enough so you mostly just see the flippy part. (Flippy is not a word but thats not important. Its the best was to describe it)

I'm not going to take a picture of my makeup because I don't really like taking photos of my face, but I'll describe my winter makeup routine for you guys! Its pretty simple, at least in my opinion.
1. After I wash my face, I like to put on a light moisturizer
2. Next I put concealer under my eyes and anywhere else I need it
3. I apply BB cream all over my face to even out my complexion and blend it well
4. I usually like to add a slightly rosy blush next
5. I top all of this off with a powder
1. I start off by applying a slightly shimmery nude eyeshadow all over my lid
2. Next I add some darker brown shadow in the crease of my eyelids and blend well
3. I also like to add a white-ish shadow to the inside of my eyes to open it up
4. I usually add a thin line of black eyeliner just on my top lash line
5. I finish of with a couple coats of black mascara
To complete my routine, I usually add a sheer or shimmery gloss to my lips.
This sounds like a lot when I write it all out, but it usually takes me 10 minutes tops!

Anyways, I'm inside now, sipping some tea and eating gingersnaps while trying desperately to warm up after taking photos outside with only a sweater on.
What is your favorite way to stay warm in the winter?

:: November Favorites ::

Hello everyone!
Before I even start this post, I want to apologize for the photo quality. It is really bad, I know. The only was I could partly salvage them was to make them in black and white, and they still don't look great.

Beauty Favorites:
1. L'Oreal Paris Sublime Fresh Purifying Foam Cleanser. I started using this just a few weeks ago, and it has really helped my skin! I break out a lot less now, and it is really gentle, too.
2. The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain. I absolutely love this! It has really cute packaging. I use it as a cheek stain and it works really well.
3. The Body Shop Wild Cherry Body Butter. I recently rediscovered this from the back of my cupboard, and I am so happy I did! It smells AMAZING. Unfortunately when I checked the website it wasn't on there, and I'm really sad because I'm almost done it.
4. Avon Candy Sorbet Lip Gloss in Sweet Tart. This is a perfect nude/pink lip gloss. It has a subtle shimmer, and it smells really good, too.
5. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. I've read really good reviews of this, and I love it too! It lengthens and darkens my lashes, and it doesn't really clump.
Food Favorites:
1. Fisherman's Friends in Lemon. I love these! I use them all the time. They are really good for my voice, especially because I use it a lot.
2. Coconut Oolong tea from David's Tea. This tea is really nice. You can definitely taste the coconut it it, as opposed to other coconut teas.
3. Stash Chai Spice Black Tea. I use this a lot for chai lattes, it is a really good simple chai tea.

I hope that you all had a good November and have an even better December!
