DIY Mug Cozy V.2


Cute DIY Mug Cozy
I lost my first mug cozy, so I decided to make another one after I realized that I drink tea at least once a day. :) I like this one even better then the first!

*The pattern is here if you want to use it*

Materials:
-Felt/sock
-Matching Thread
-White Felt
-Scrap of Red Felt
-Button

All I really did for this was the same thing as my origional mug cozy. I used felt instead, though.

Nature Walk

I went to a nearby park yesterday night. I saw a beaver, and a bunch of chickadees ate right out of my hand. Its so amazing to see this little patch of nature right in the middle of a big city.^_^

I'm sure I'll go again, maybe I'll have some more photos next time.

DIY Onigiri Plushie

Make a soft, cuddly Onigiri ^_^

*For the side pattern, you will have to cut out one normal one and one and one flipped one*

**The pattern is here. Sorry, its really messy** 

***You will need 2 of the body and 2 of the side***

****You will have to cut out a few eyes, they are just little circles out of black felt****

Materials:
-White Felt
-White thread
-Black Felt
-Black Thread
-Bow, or a fabric to make a bow out of

(Cut out the pieces)
1) Sew the patch onto the body
2) Sew on the eyes and embroider the mouth
3) Sew the sides and the bottom onto the body.
4) Right sides facing in, sew the other body piece to the sides. Turn right side out.
5) Stuff, and sew up the bottom
6) Sew on the bow

DIY Mini Pea Pod

One of the foretold posts ;)

*You can use embroidery thread, but if you don't have embroidery thread you can just double up some regular thread a few times. Thats what I do!*

**The pattern is here**

Materials:
-White thread
-Black Embroidery Thread
-Dark Green Felt
-Light Green Felt

*Cut out the pieces according to the pattern*

1) Sew the pea pod up, right sides together. Turn right-side out.
2) Embroider the faces onto the peas.
3) Put 2 pea pieces right side together and sew up, leaving a hole. Turn right side out and stuff. Finish sewing up. Repeat for all 3 peas.
4) Sew the bow pieces on the peas. 

*Sew the peas into the pod*

DIY Fabric Covered Easter Basket

Give new life to an old basket :)

Materials:
-Old basket
-Plain Fabric
-Patterned Fabric

1) Cut the plain fabric into a circle about an inch bigger than your basket
2) Cut a triangle where each handle is
3) Sew the circle onto the basket by putting the triangles around the handles and sewing where they meet. Fold the edges of the circle over the basket.
4) Sew the patterned fabric into a bow. The bigger the bow, the better!
5) Sew the bow onto the handle of the basket.

DIY Bunny Pouch {& Cookies}

Make a little pouch to keep some teeny cookies in :)

*I made the cookies out of sugar cookie dough and made them into little egg shapes.*

Materials:
-Gray Felt
-Gray thread
-Blue Felt

1) Cut out the pieces according to the pattern
2) Sew the ears onto the body
3) Put the right sides together and sew up the 2 sides. Turn right side out.
4) Sew on the bow.

DIY Cat Wallet


Cute DIY Cat Wallet
Make a little kitty to keep your money company

*You will need 2 rectangles for the main body. These pieces should be 3.2" wide and 3.5" high*

**You can also make this into a phone case by adjusting a few measurements**

***The pattern is here***

Materials:
-Grey felt
-Grey thread
-Pink felt
-Pink/white thread
-Dark brown felt
-Black thread

(Cut out the pieces)
1) Sew on the pink nose and cheeks
2) Sew on the dark brown eyes
3) Sew the ears onto the back piece
4) Sew the back and front pieces together, leaving a hole at the top.
Thats it!

Make a little puppy friend ^_^

*You can use embroidery thread, but if you don't have embroidery thread you can just double up some regular thread a few times. Thats what I do!*

Materials:
-Tan felt
-Matching Thread
-Dark brown felt
-Stuffing
-Jump ring (optional)

1) Embroider the face on one of the circles
2) Put the right sides of the face together and sew, leaving a hole. Turn right side out and stuff. Finish sewing up.
3) Sew on the ears.
4) If you want, sew on a jump ring.

DIY Fox Keychain

Make a little friend for your keys :)

*You can use embroidery thread, but if you don't have embroidery thread you can just double up some regular thread a few times. Thats what I do!*

**The pattern is here**


Materials:
-Orange felt
-Orange Thread
-Black embroidery thread
-Small extra (optional)

(Cut out the pattern pieces)
1) Embroider the eyes and nose onto one of the face pieces
2) Put the right sides of the face together and sew, leaving a small hole
3) Stuff and finish sewing up
4) Sew on the ears. You can add a small extra onto your fox if you want, I used a small felt bow that I made. Sew onto the clip, and your done!

DIY Cat Pincushion

Make a little cat to keep you pins company!

Materials:
-Felt in a color of your choice
-Matching thread
-Black embroidery thread
-Stuffing


*You can use embroidery thread, but if you don't have embroidery thread you can just double up some regular thread a few times. Thats what I do!*

** You can make the circles whatever size you want. For my pincushion, I traced a glass onto a piece of paper and used that as a pattern for my circles (you will need 2 circles)**


*** The pattern for the face is here***

1) Embroider the face onto one of the circles
2) Put the right sides of both of the circles together and sew up, leaving a small hole. Turn right side out.
3) Stuff and finish sewing up. Thats it!
Don't feel bad for sticking him with pins. He's happy to help you keep them under control!

DIY Bunny Mini Plushies

Make two little bunnies to welcome spring :)

Materials:
-Gray/white felt
-Gray/white thread
-Scrap of pink felt
-Scrap of blue felt
-Glue

1) Cut out the pieces according to the pattern
2) Embroider the face onto one of the face pieces
3) Put the right sides of the face pieces together. Sew, leaving a small hole. Turn right-side out.
4) Stuff, and finish sewing up.
5) Sew on the ears.
6) Glue the bow onto the head.

Repeat for the boy bunny, gluing the bow as a bow tie.
